It took us a year to prototype, test and refine our harness design, and then another year to take it further for the very teeny, wee dogs But we feel we are there now - however unlike the bigger dogs, te harness has to be more precise as too long straps make for annoying flapping. So we do need you to provide the measurements below please.
The harnesses are individually made to order by our craftsman (delivery 6-8 weeks). The main body is calf leather with a softly padded chest 'plate'. You can select a piped heart motif on the chest plate and on the dog's back, giving a perfect match to a Holly&Lil piped lead. All the dogs in the pictures have piped hearts on their harnesses. Or you can just have the chest plain and the "collar" strap sections are piped - again this matches the piped leads. Click on any of the images of the "black dog" and the image will come up very big so you can have a good look. Because our harnesses can be made in any Holly&Lil style/ colourway, they can be anything from girly to butch! The body straps are 1/2" but the piped neck straps are 5/8". To order select your body CALF colour (a) . Then select the "fill" for your piped heart (b). (The easiest way to choose your harness may be to look through the collars on our website to see the colourways you like best - then find that colourway on the drop down menus below.) The harness above for example has black patent hearts and neck straps with lilac calf piping an dblackcalf back. A version of Bandbox - gorgeous!! The Dacshund harness has subtle differences, such as a much longer body/chest strap. Sizes we need A = Collar size - please see H&L size guide to get it perfect
B = Chest measurement - measure just behind the two front legs around the body please
C = Top measurement form neck to top of body that would be behind front legs (and marks the point where you held tape at the top to take the B measurement).
D = Measurement from neck (where collar sits) down between legs to sit behind them (and again marks the point where you held tape at the bottom to take the B measurement.
E = Chest measurement between front legs
